 Superstreaks is the product of the years of experience and knowledge of the
Donald Douglas Salons that have been in existence for some time.
Prior to the establishment of the Donald
Douglas Group, Donald Douglas was in New York working with the Charles of the Ritz/Vidal
Sassoon Company. At that time Charles of the Ritz Cosmetic Company held the US rights for
Vidal Sassoon. Donald was involved in the marketing of Vidal Sassoon USA at its earliest
concept, and helped establish the first Sassoon Salon in New York in 1966.
Before the opening of the Sassoon Salon in New
York, Donald brought the Vidal Sassoon team to St. Louis to test market the new modern
geometric haircut. It was a success and today the name Vidal Sassoon is synonymous with
creative haircutting. Streaks was launched to fill the gap between creative hair cutting
and hair coloring. It created continuity and a better relationship between the two.
The foundation of Superstreaks haircoloring is
very natural, drawing its basis from a teenager's head of hair that has been in the sun
all summer. All natural, that in itself sets the standards.
Donald Douglas has developed a new generation
of haircoloring methods, leaderstreaks, leopard, snake, yellow and other graphic patterns
in various colors.
Superstreaks is also a specialists in Asian
black hair with a new line of haircoloring methods specifically for Asian black hair.
There needed to be a haircoloring salon and
Superstreaks started it.
